GCS Honored as 2012 Helios Apollo Awards Finalist

McLean, Va., April. 02, 2012…GCS, a professional services and solutions provider to civilian, intelligence and industry clients, today announced that it has been named a finalist for the 2012 Helios Apollo Awards.  A premier awards program for recognizing employers in the Washington metropolitan region that invest in employee development initiatives that make an impact, GCS is one of six finalists in the Tria (101-175 employees) category.

“This year’s finalists stand out as the D.C. region’s best in executing impactful human capital management programs,” said Kathy Albarado, president and CEO, Helios. “We congratulate GCS on being named a finalist and look forward to coming together in May to celebrate all the finalists.”

GCS was selected by an independent panel for its support of employee development initiatives and its ability to communicate the overall impact of these programs. Specifically, GCS was evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Employee onboarding process;
  • Opportunities for mentoring;
  • Innovative programs or opportunities to develop leadership skills through charitable community involvement; and
  • The impact of these programs.

Helios will honor the finalists and announce the winners at the Apollo Awards breakfast ceremony on Wednesday, May 30th, 2012 at the McLean Hilton in McLean, Va.
