Nicole Geller
CEO and Founder
A seasoned executive with extensive experience building and leading teams of experts, Nicole Geller founded GCS in 1995. Today her award-winning firm employs over 150 highly skilled professionals who have a proven track record for success in every Federal agency.

Prior to founding GCS, Nicole was with Booz, Allen & Hamilton as a contracts manager. In addition to preparing the company to pass federal compliance audits, she played a critical role in numerous complex business process re-engineering (BPR) projects. This included assembling and leading several teams of prominent companies charged with privatizing the stock market of the former Soviet Union. Her career also includes several years at PRC, where, as a subcontracts administrator, she led BPR initiatives related to equipment financing that delivered significant cost savings to government customers.


Nicole is an appointed member of the George Mason University College of the Humanities and Social Sciences Advisory Board; the Board of Directors for The Women's Center located in Vienna, VA; and the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) Executive Advisory Council. In 2003 the organization’s National Board of Directors designated her as a distinguished NCMA Fellow.


In addition, Nicole is a member of the Committee of 200, Co-Chair of DC Regional Events and recently gained her Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.


Nicole is a frequent speaker at local and national events on issues related to the federal contracting industry and entrepreneurship. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from George Mason University. When she is not working, she enjoys golfing and spending time with her family and their two Basset Hounds, Taffy and Midas.

 

 

Mike Murphy
Vice President Intelligence Division
Over the past 23 years, Mike Murphy has established himself as a proven senior leader and manager of large-scale organizational performance improvement programs for key intelligence community agencies, the Department of Defense, civil agencies and Fortune 500 companies. With these successes, he has acquired an in-depth understanding of the government acquisition process, as well as expertise in Human Capital Management, Program Management, Strategy and Transformation and Training and Education.

In his current role at GCS, Mike is responsible for leading and growing GCS’s Intelligence Community (IC) Business Unit, ensuring that capability and delivery align with client requirements and providing thought leadership in key program management delivery areas.

Prior to joining GCS, Murphy held a number of senior roles in the Professional Services Industry, to include executive positions at Booz Allen Hamilton, Spherion and McClendon. Mike received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities from the University of Maryland (with highest distinction) and is currently working to obtain a Master of Science in Information Technology Systems from Johns Hopkins University. He also served in the U.S. Navy and is a Cryptologic Technician Interpretive (Persian Farsi). As an Oregon native, Mike is an avid Ducks fan.



 

Tanaz Shahrzad
Vice President of Civilian Solutions Group
Tanaz Shahrzad has a robust business and program management background with demonstrated domain expertise driving efficiencies across numerous work streams throughout the program lifecycle. A natural leader with more than a decade of management and strategy consulting experience, she brings with her a proven track record in client delivery, results and satisfaction.

In her current role she is responsible for managing the day-to-day Federal Civilian operations to maximize growth, service, quality, production efficiency and cost-effectiveness for GCS’ valued clients. Prior to joining GCS, Tanaz was the Director of Federal Programs at LMN Solutions, an IT consulting company, as well as a member of their executive leadership team. While there she managed relationships and programs across the Federal market to ensure sound financial practices, healthy profitability and service excellence. Before that she served as the Senior Managing Consultant at IBM in the Strategy & Change Practice, and as an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton on the Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Team.


Tanaz holds a Master of Science in Information Technology for Business from Johns Hopkins University, Carey School of Business; as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from the University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce. She also holds an Executive Certificate in Management & Leadership from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Sloan School of Business. Whenever possible, Tanaz indulges her passion for international travel, vacationing in places like Turkey, Spain and Greece.



Stephen Passuth, CPA
Vice President, Finance and Contracts
Steve Passuth has a proven reputation for successfully managing the financial operations of small or mid-size growing organizations within the government contract and commercial industries. With more than 28 years of broad experience from Federal acquisition regulations to financial and contract management, to audit liaison and financial and strategic planning, to human resource management, he is also adept with buy and sell side corporate acquisition and transition.

In his current role, he is responsible for managing the company’s finance, accounting, contracts, human resources and administration functions as well as collaborating closely with other GCS management members on contracting compliance, cost management programs, strategic and annual analyses and planning, and employee engagement.


Previously, Steve was the CFO at Tessada & Associates, Inc., a government infrastructure services and solutions provider, where he helped grow company revenues by more than $40 million. Overseeing the finance, corporate IT and business operations, he was also responsible for the launch of a new commercial company, significantly improved cash flow and interest earnings, and was a Virginia Business CFO of the Year award finalist. Prior to that, he has successfully led the financial, contracts, accounting and business operations for several area government contracting firms.


Steve received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting with distinction from George Mason University. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the AICPA. When not crunching numbers, Steve enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis and golf and working out at the gym.



Gary Polston
Director, Missions Support Group
Gary Polston has more than 20 years of experience creating and delivering innovative program management, acquisition management and systems engineering and integration solutions for intelligence clients. In his current role, he is responsible for leading a GCS Federal Solutions agency specific business unit, shaping acquisition solution strategies, and providing superior customer service. As a GCS engaged expert since 2010, Mr. Polston was most recently a Senior Program Manager and Agency Lead for an intelligence customer, directing all GCS contracts programs there, as well as oversight, personnel management, and administrative functions.

Prior to joining GCS, Gary was the Acquisition Program Project Manager at Summit Solutions, now National Security Partners, LLC. While there, he developed and implemented acquisition management plans for several 10-year cost-plus contracts, and served as a Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) Program Manager. Before that Gary served as a Systems Engineer Senior Staff member at Lockheed Martin, and as a manager at Bearing Point, Inc. (KPMG Consulting). He is also a Commander in the Reserves for the United States Navy.


Gary holds a Masters in Business Administration from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He is a DAWIA Level II Certified Program Manager and Project Management Professional. And, he is a graduate of the Officers Candidate School, Navy Supply Corps School, and Defense Acquisition University. He also holds an ITIL V3 Certification. An avid athlete, Gary is a champion swimmer and a formidable golf and tennis opponent.



Kevork Juskalian
Director, Civilian Solutions Group
Drawing on over 18 years of combined military and management consulting experience, Kevork Juskalian brings both process expertise and technical agility to successfully working with agencies within the Federal Government, Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and private industry. His specialty is leading large teams delivering technology and program management solutions to senior executives in support of their operational strategy.

In his current role at GCS, Kev provides leadership and program management expertise across the GCS Civilian program portfolio based on in-depth understanding of each customer’s mission, operational goals, strategies and programs, and in industry trends.


Before joining GCS, Kev led Emerging Technologies initiatives for PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Washington Federal Practice, delivering innovation capabilities assessments to commercial and government clients. Prior to this, he worked at Booz Allen Hamilton, managing multiple large contracts for Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and advising senior leadership on strategic planning, science & technology investment strategies and program life cycle management best practices.


Following graduate school Kev was commissioned as an Infantry officer and was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry, 1st Infantry Division (Mechanized), Germany. As Company Executive Officer he was deployed in support of OPERATION ABLE SENTRY in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. His awards include the Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Ranger tab, Parachutist and Expert infantry Badge. He has a Master of Arts degree in International Business and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from George Mason University.



Gregory Anderson
Director, Contracts and Pricing
In his current role, GCS utilizes Greg’s thirty years of experience in the field of federal and commercial contracting in the areas of full lifecycle contract administration and cost and pricing activities. Greg has negotiated numerous, high visibility, complex agreements. Greg has also developed complex cost and pricing modeling and OCI mitigation plans.

At Blue Sea Lake consultants, his prior role, Greg served as a trusted business partner to clients by providing Contract Management and Pricing consulting services. As a former Contracts Manager at Deloitte, Greg managed a staff of Contracts Professionals and managed highly valued and highly mission critical contracts, was an active member of the corporate process improvement team and created and the designated Contracts SME to facilitate the presentation of Contracts roles and responsibilities during new hire training.


At GTSI, as a Contract Negotiator, Greg established a collaborative work environment through regular training and “playbooks” for repeatable, verifiable and successful negotiations. Greg interacted and negotiated for and with numerous corporate teams to help drive company growth.


Greg received his Masters of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University and his Bachelors of Arts, Psychology from State University of New York at Binghamton. Greg is originally from Long Island, NY and keeps busy with his three sons.



Jennifer Iams
Manager, Human Resources
With more than 18 years of human capital experience, Jennifer Iams is well versed in the creation of business and human capital strategies, compensation analyses and system design, career development, high performance team management, and training, recruitment and retention programs. Through her work with start-up companies and those going through mergers and acquisitions, Jennifer has also acquired expertise in organizational diagnosis and change management.

In her current role at GCS, Jennifer encompasses all facets of Human Resources by the ability to think and act strategically while displaying a high touch service orientation for employees, management and customers. The HR Manager is a strategic partner in developing and executing corporate HR strategies. Jennifer advises on employment & legal compliance issues, supporting employees on full employee life cycle areas including, but not limited to on-boarding, compensation and payroll, performance management, and general employee relations issues. This role supports and oversees all learning, development and corporate culture initiatives for GCS.


Prior to joining GCS, Jennifer served as Program Manager at Booz Allen Hamilton supporting the Navy Aviation Enterprise to facilitate and align Total Force resources and processes. She also developed performance management training modules for the Environmental Protection Agency and aligned the employee Performance Appraisal Report with best practices to help the Agency become a recognized and measurable high performance organization.


In addition to her extensive industry experience, Jennifer also has several certifications from the Virginia Department of Fire Programs as a Firefighter, Health and Safety Officer, Incident Safety Officer, Instructor and Emergency Vehicle and Driver Pump Operator.

Jill Tummler
Advisor
With nearly three decades of experience as chief information officer within the federal intelligence community and the defense space, Jill is an award-winning professional, accomplished speaker and published author, as well. Prior to working with GCS, Jill was chief information officer for the National Reconnaissance Office, deputy chief information officer at a federal government agency, and director for the Diplomatic Telecommunications Service for the U. S. Department of State. Jill provides strategic counsel on transformation, strategy, leadership, and technology.

 

Nancy Friedman
Advisor
A seasoned business executive and strategist who has held senior leadership positions at Unisys U.S. Federal Group, Unitech, and Litton/PRC (now Northrop Grumman IT), Nancy advises GCS on business strategy development and assessment and sales and marketing optimization. Nancy’s early career focused on improving the growth and productivity of the U.S. maritime and air cargo industries; but more recently, she has assisted commercial clients establish their pricing and regulatory strategy.

 

Denise Manning
Advisor
As a PMP-certified management consultant with more than 30 years of experience in general management, program management, application software development and system integration. She served multiple government clients from executive leadership positions at companies such as Northrop Grumman IT and G&B Solutions, Inc. Denise’s successes is in part due to her commitment to a proven track record in consensus building, team facilitation and program management, Denise provides strategic counsel to GCS federal civilian operations for civilian and DOD markets.
